TRAVEL: Doors, why do there have to be flaws (Part 2)

One song from #Bastille mentioned that our flaws made us who we are and without it we will be doomed. Listen to their acoustic version of “Flaws” and hear/feel it your self, it is a beautifully written song. Then, imagine what if we people does not have flaws. What if we are all born perfect? What if there is not an inch of ugliness from anyone physically and emotionally? I’ll leave it to you to ponder. Below are collection of unique doors gathered from Morocco (Chefchaouen, Fez, Essaouira) and Andalusia, Espana. Notice what makes them one of a kind. It is their flaws. Every door is beautifully flawed from everything that surrounds them. Each of it are molded and designed based on culture, nature, weather and by their maker. Like us people. Each of us has inherited flaws from our parents and ancestors. None of us are made to choose what kind of beings we are going to be. Nature, culture and the cycle of life made us who we are. Our differences and faults …

TRAVEL: Doors, why do there have to be doors (Part 1)

At the age of 21 where most normal guy officially reach physical adulthood, my body stopped from growing at 5’6 tall. By then, I knew I cannot make it as a supermodel like I dreamed of and travel around the world for free. Being just dark, handsome and disappointed, I had to think of something else to do with my life. The door to becoming a supermodel has closed (It was never open for me anyway, I realized that ten years later). Thank god I am actually smart and talented I never knew. Whew! Ten years later, I have encountered countless doors and windows of opportunities I never thought would open and close for me during my early until late twenties. From desktop publishing to design agency. I’m now a Graphic Designer (wow), but my current company entitled me as the Digital & Creative Lead… because they cannot promote me into something else (that sounds better and more expensive though). I currently work as the in-house designer in a company that requires corporate branding and …

CINEMAGRAPHS: Sheikh Zayed Road Once More

I made few cinemagraphs of Sheikh Zayed road just to have my own version of trending animated photography. Yey! Cinemagraphs are still photographs in which a minor and repeated movement occurs. Cinemagraphs, which are usually published in an animated GIF format, can give the illusion that the viewer is watching a video. They are commonly produced by taking a series of photographs or a video recording, and, using image editing software, compositing the photographs or the video frames into a seamless loop of sequential frames, often using the animated GIF file format in such a manner that motion in part of the subject between exposures (for example, a person’s dangling leg) is perceived as a repeating or continued motion, in contrast with the stillness of the rest of the image. The term “cinemagraph” was coined by U.S. photographers Kevin Burg and Jamie Beck, who used the technique to animate their fashion and news photographs beginning in early 2011.    Cinemagraphs posted above are all created by John Robert Ramos.   Below are few samples of beautiful cinemagraphs from http://cinemagraphs.com
