I love Threadless designs… I love funny t-shirt designs! I only wish that time will come shipping here in the UAE will be more easier, faster and safer. I had troubles claiming my first order. Lost and never received the replacement order. What could be worst? Better luck next time. I wish to get more shirt online but not sure for now. Why I love Threadless? I’m a designer too! It’s a crowd of creative people when you’re inside their website. Everyone is so creative! Model: Jemmalyn Soriano, Hair & Mua by herself. White lace socks rarely found nowadays. We found it at Ansar Gallery at little girls accessories section. I am the photographer as usual but I am not a photographer note that.
This is how we spend leisure time, fashion photography. Simple and ordinary settings yet fabulous result. Jemmalyn Soriano, the Diva, my high school friend and almost a family has been shooting ever since. She is my very first photography muse. I thought of doing more fashion photography as I have a great feeling that one day I will make it as an art director or director of photography in fashion editorials. So I will keep on producing and taking photos. Photographer: John Robert Ramos Clothes, Shoes, Accessories, Hair & Make-Up all by her self, Jemmalyn Soriano Location: Our terrace
I spent my Sunday taking photos of a friend who’s behind “Postura Style” Ms. Rona Kathrina. “Postura Style is an online fashion boutique based in Dubai. They offer a unique, classic, feminine, edgy collection with quality and affordable prices that you will surely love.”- www.posturastyle.blogspot.com She is selling her stuff thru Facebook page where you can find her selections of women clothing for now. Her bright collection reflects a classy, chic and very feminine woman. Price ranging from AED 50 to 150. We ate Krispe Kreme from the beginning up to end of the day. LOVE! At first, I didn’t really have a concept for this fun shoot but as we go on finding the right corner of their apartment unit at Dubai Marina’s one of the tallest residential tower, all we’ve got are the heights, the summer wind and the sunlight. Not just proper lighting coming from the daylight but lights brighter than sunshine and I love it. Since I’m a fan of natural lighting photography it always works for me. Given that I am not a professional …

Why make sense of things we can’t understand? Why complicate? Things in life are supposed to be easy but we human made it hard for our selves. River Island Sunglasses, Topman shirt, H&M Pants, Suspender and Shoes, Bow Tie made by Sierly & Mami. Post and photo by John Robert Ramos
Please play the music below while browsing this post. San Pedro, Laguna where my heart and family lives. I love this place more than Santa Mesa, Manila where I grew up and went to college. San Pedro is our new found home since 2005, my hidden paradise. I wish I could take more photos every morning when I go over the hills to chase the sunshine and sweat. I wish I can go home and watch the sunrise ’till it goes down to my feet. Just home and do nothing. Photos here are taken by my old phone camera and Olympus Digital camera years ago (4 yrs back or so). Pixels aren’t great but the framed memories are gold. Another inspirational feel good movie I recommend to watch. But this time this film is not something only weird graphics designer will want to waste time with, though the title of the film might sound like another indie film but it is not. In fact the movie title really mean it literally. The film has a lot of political humor but not very funny, somehow funny in a smart way if you are aware of what’s happening in the middle east. “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” is a full fiction based on a novel with a same title written by Paul Torday. In the story, the Sheikh from Yemen is very wealthy, but in fact the Yemen is considered one of the poorest countries in the Arab world. I am a fan of Ewan McGregor and should say that he made a right choice for a film role once again… I like this actor. I’ve notice from the opening scene which there are swimming fish in the river while Ewan was fishing is the same with …
I’ve never seen a rainbow here in Dubai, UAE. Not sure if the nature forbid itself to show a beautiful spectrum of light over the desert or its just not possible in this kind of climate. I guess I really miss San Pedro, Laguna my luscious green hilly home town where you can find the rainbow after the rain or in the orange afternoon. I found a new rendition of my favorite song. A song very close to my hearth, a song I’ve sung a hundred times… Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Here I am sharing the beautiful music. The instrumental rendition by The Piano Guys. Here below is the original version by Judy Garland from Wizard of Oz. I hope you’ll enjoy the music from The Piano Guys like I do and support them by buying the music online. Cover and layout design I made for The VM Bible (Manual) from my previous company QHD. Querky is a magazine style manual for the visual merchandiser. We intentionally made this manual design very funky through eclectic pop. The bible writing style, pop art concept and catchy phrases are all created by myself. The Retail and Design team really loves the overall design from cover to cover. Too bad I left the company already.
FILM: I Wish (Kiseki) Japanese Film. I couldn’t explain it myself but this movie is simply heart felt, nostalgic, and it brings back some memories of my childhood. I didn’t came from Japan but the movie setting feels like home for me. Innocence is really blissful. We may though that life as a kid is easy but the world is still so big and hard for them to understand. I wish that there are always good people around them to teach and answer their questions (we adult sometimes don’t know how to answer). I just love this film. A 2011 Japanese film written and directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda with real life brothers Koki Maeda and Oshiro Maeda. I don’t think that this film will be shown here in middle east. You know where to find it. TRAILER: SYNOPSIS: Twelve-year-old Koichi lives with his mother and retired grandparents in Kagoshima, in the southern region of Kyushu, Japan. His younger brother Ryunosuke lives with their father in Hakata, northern Kyushu. The brothers have been separated by their …

“Dance, dance, otherwise we are lost.” – Pina Bausch. Captivates your heart and soul. The first in the world 3d Dance film. It is amusingly weird but its art. Synopsis: PINA is a feature-length dance film in 3D with the ensemble of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, featuring the unique and inspiring art of the great German choreographer, who died in the summer of 2009. PINA is a film for Pina Bausch by Wim Wenders. He takes the audience on a sensual, visually stunning journey of discovery into a new dimension: straight onto the stage with the legendary Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch ensemble, he follows the dancers out of the theatre into the city and the surrounding areas of Wuppertal – the place, which for 35 years was the home and centre for Pina Bausch’s creativity. Follow and read more about the featured film through their official website: http://www.pina-film.de/en/about-the-movie.html (Disclaimer: I do not own the image and video posted in this blog.)
